Chapter 593 Falling for Such a Clumsy Trick
To take care of Charlotte, Joe spent the night at the villa for the first time.
He watched Charlotte’s peaceful sleeping face, and her words echoed in his mind. If it hadn’t been for the conversation
leading to this topic, he believed Charlotte would never have willingly told him about her past.
He might have never known how diligently Charlotte had observed his every move during those past years.
Planting a gentle kiss on Charlotte’s forehead, Joe pulled her into his embrace and fell into a deep sleep.
The next morning, they were both awakened by the sharp ringtone of a cell phone.
Charlotte picked up the phone, and the mocking voice of Sharon came through from the other end. “Is Joe with you?”
“What’s going on?” Charlotte glanced at Joe beside her, who was also answering a call.
Sharon scoffed, “Take a look at the trending topics on social media. And by the way, tell him that he’s really tarnishing the
identity of Mr. Smith by falling for such a clumsy trick.”

Charlotte hung up the phone and checked the trending topics on her phone.
The trend was practically dominated by these topics: #Mr. Smith Reveals New Romance#, #Joe and Charlotte#, #Joe and
Mysterious Beauty#. Charlotte randomly clicked on one of them, and inside were prominently featured pictures of Joe
passionately kissing a curvaceous beauty in a parking lot.
Even though they hadn’t captured their faces, Charlotte could still recognize that the woman was none other than Sandra.
“I haven’t done anything with her,” Joe’s deep voice resounded nearby. Charlotte turned her head and even detected a
hint of anxiety in his eyes.
“That day, she came to confront me angrily, and I had no idea she had already set up paparazzi in the corner…” Joe
quickly explained what had happened that day, and then he stared intensely at Charlotte.

Charlotte stared at him in silence for a while and then burst into laughter.
“I didn’t say I don’t trust you. No need to be nervous,” Charlotte said with a suppressed smile. “If it were someone else, I
might have some doubts, but Sandra… I don’t believe you’d like her.”
Joe’s brows remained furrowed as he looked deeply at Charlotte. “Even if it were someone else, you shouldn’t doubt.”
Charlotte hadn’t expected him to take her casual remark so seriously, and she found herself both amused and
exasperated.
“Whenever you see news like this, it’s all fake,” Joe said decisively as he got up, also contacting Jack.
Jack was in a state of panic when he received Joe’s call. “Mr. Smith…”
“If there are still related keywords online in half an hour, the entire PR department can resign,” Joe said calmly before
