“What high-sounding sentiments, Miss Carter! Believe it or not, I’ll have my son speak to the person behind you to withdraw you from the entertainment industry tomorrow,” Jean said.
Alexis almost died laughing when she heard this. “Old witch, go ahead and do it. If I, Alexis Carter, am forced to leave the entertainment industry tomorrow, I’ll go to the Shaw Residence to kowtow to you!”
Jean was blue in the face with rage. “You, you, you’re uncivilized!”
“Whether I’m civilized or not, it depends on who I’m facing. You’re only an old witch and aren’t considered a human, so it’s not necessary for me to treat you nicely.”
