Kruz was on the verge of tears, realizing that Connor wasn't the type to change his mind once it was made up.

Seeing Moss already reaching for his phone to make a call, Kruz let out a desperate wail and darted to Flora's feet. "Dad! Dad! Please, save me! I don't want to go back to Lone Island!"

He couldn't bear to stay there another second! He had finally escaped; couldn't he at least stay a few more days?

Flora felt a bit awkward, knowing she shouldn't interfere with Connor disciplining his brother. Besides, Kruz deserved a good lesson for causing trouble without much thought, like damaging someone's car. More importantly, he had once called her a wicked and foolish woman.

She thought he was the foolish one. With Connor right there, calling her "Dad" in front of him was just adding fuel to the fire.

Connor's expression indeed grew darker, his voice sinking, "Moss."
