The next series of events wouldn't have happened if things had gone differently.

The police arrived, questioning everyone about what happened and then taking them all to the station for statements. Dr. Ray stayed back to arrange care for Shawn before heading to the station with the officers.

After giving their statements, everyone looked visibly shaken, their minds still on Shawn. They all decided to visit him together at the city hospital where he had been transferred.

Shawn lay on a hospital bed, his face as pale as a ghost, and his bandaged hand still oozing blood.

"Dr. Ray, can't you do anything for Shawn's hand?" Darcy asked, her voice breaking as she covered her face and sobbed.

"I..." Dr. Ray bowed his head, feeling helpless. It wasn't that there was nothing he could do, but... it was just too damn difficult.

"If Shawn's hand is really ruined, then what about his future..." Darcy started, but Flora cut her off.

"His hand won't be ruined," Flora declared with a firm voice.

"Flora, do you have a plan?" Everyone turned to her with hopeful eyes. Flora was known for her skills; maybe she really did have a solution.

Flora looked at Shawn with steely determination, her fists clenched. "He needs a specific miracle drug right now."

"Are you talking about the HJ Special Dose?" Dr. Ray turned sharply to Flora, surprised that she had thought of the same thing. She hadn't even been in the operating room but still knew Shawn's condition inside out. Did she really figure it out just by looking? Flora's medical skills must be on another level!
