Alyssa's heart-wrenching cries tugged at anyone's heartstrings. Flora slid her phone back into her pocket, irritation creasing her brows. She glanced at Orla and gestured for her to come over. Orla strutted over, thinking she'd won, a smug smile playing on her lips. "So, Flora, you've agreed?"

She had brought it up in front of Shawn's parents and the lab team, confident that if Flora refused, they'd all see her as heartless and selfish. A little media manipulation would make Flora's life hell in Austenberg.

Orla expected Flora to beg, to plead desperately. The thought widened her smile, but it quickly froze.

Her eyes widened in terror.
