Everyone could tell that Flora was someone who understood the bigger picture. Mr. Tanner's visit this time was all about convincing Flora to join the national medical department and compete in the medical championship. Even though Flora had made it clear before that she had no interest in joining, everyone thought she was just speaking out of frustration.

Now that some time had passed, they figured a few kind words from Mr. Tanner would give Flora an easy way to change her mind and join the department.

When Dr. Ray and Shawn came back, they didn't mention what had happened that day, so Darcy and the others were still clueless. They watched Mr. Tanner's overly polite demeanor and couldn't help but be amazed. This was Flora, after all.

Being talented sure has its perks.

Even someone as high up as Mr. Tanner from the national medical department had to tread lightly around her.

Flora, with her hands in her coat pockets, looked completely relaxed.

"Flora, I'm here to apologize," Mr. Tanner said, taking a deep breath and standing tall. "What happened that day was unfair to you, and we've already dealt with Joy. We won't let something like that happen again!"

"You're incredibly talented, and we all believe that with time, you'll become a leading figure in Austenberg's medical community! Please think about joining the national medical department and going to Lone Island for the medical championship."

He spoke sincerely, "It's not just for Austenberg's medical community, but for your own future. Training at the Lone Island medical base can really set you up for a long and successful career. This is the best choice for you."

Dr. Ray stood by the office door, listening quietly and nodding. He shared the same thoughts, which is why he had called Flora in the first place.
