Thirty minutes later, the car pulled up outside a racetrack. Kruz hopped out, quickly rushing around to the passenger side to open the door, eagerly helping Flora out.

Inside the racetrack, a bunch of scruffy-looking youths were hanging out on the steps. These guys were the infamous troublemakers of Lone Island-bad news with powerful connections, and nobody wanted to mess with them. "Is Kruz ever gonna show?"

"He said he was picking up some big shot, but it's been two hours. Think he chickened out?"

"With his skills? Not even a top-tier big shot could save him." One of them sneered. "Call him again. I've had my eye on his engine for ages, and today I'm gonna win it-hey, who kicked me?" "Your grandpa did!"

Kruz had just kicked the guy in the back. "You think you can take my engine? Keep dreaming, kid."

Adrian stood up, towering over Kruz from his spot on the steps. "Thought you didn't have the guts to show up!"

The group's curiosity spiked as they all turned to Kruz. "Mr. Kruz, where's this big shot you brought? Where are they?"

Kruz lifted his head proudly. "Right here!"

He put his hand on Flora's shoulder. Following Kruz's gaze, the group saw Flora standing next to him. She wore a gray knitted sweater and a mask, her long, raven-like eyelashes peeking out.
