Chapter 1563

Just then, a woman's voice piped up from behind, catching Fiona off guard.

"Ms. Fiona, fancy bumping into you again!" The actress breezed over with her little posse trailing behind her like a shadow.

Fiona's brow furrowed in irritation. This woman was like a bad penny, always turning up when least wanted. With a sigh, Fiona made her way to the restaurant, trying to shake off her annoyance.

The actress didn't seem fazed. She was on a mission to keep tabs on Fiona, all thanks to the generous perks Christina had dangled in front of her. Besides, she had figured out that both Jackson and Allen were orbiting around Fiona. Getting in Fiona's good books seemed like a smart move.

"Hey, Ms. Fiona, that hairpin looks awfully familiar," one of the girls piped up, pointing at the jade hairpin nestled in Fiona's hair, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Isn't that from our set? It's supposed to be the love token between our lead characters."

Fiona paused, reached up to touch her hair, and pulled out the pin. It was a gift from Jackson during their stroll through the old town, definitely not some film prop.

The snarky girl, not waiting for an explanation, strutted over in her sky-high heels and snatched the hairpin from Fiona's hand.
