Sandy could see she wasn't keen on discussing it further, so she just waved her off. If Yvenne had her own way to handle things, Sandy was happy to let her. She wasn't up for wasting any more thought on it.

When Fiona walked back into the classroom, you could hear a pin drop. Everyone was staring, and right behind her was Jackson, who'd walked her back.

"Go on in, I'll swing by to pick you up for dinner later," Jackson said, gently ruffling her hair with a warm smile as she made her way to her seat. Meanwhile, Nash got called out, trailing behind Jackson to the stairwell corner with a reluctant look.

"Jackson."

"You still remember I'm your Jackson, huh?" Jackson was really ticked off this time, glaring at Nash. "What did I tell you? Fiona's a delicate young lady, and I asked you to look after her. Is this how you do it? Your allowance is getting halved this month."

With that, Jackson stormed off, leaving Nash standing there, confused and unsure of what to do next.

On Fiona's side, just as she sat down, someone next to her piped up, "So, what's up with you and Yvenne?"

Fiona ignored him. Gossip was just part of the package with these folks. As long as it didn't mess with her interests, she was cool with it.
