Chapter 7
7 I don't want to lose my peaceful life April began her new life, there in that small house she felt happy, she found a small garden that was near the house, she dedicated herself to taking care of the garden that became her source of food since the day they had left her in that place the maids had not returned.
During the spring, April devoted herself to taking care of the garden, just as she did in the summer, and in the fall she gathered the fruit and prepared for the winter.
When the cold became annoying April stopped leaving her house, that was the first winter in which April did not hate winter, that year had hot food and a fire to keep warm, I wish all my winters were like this one.
Another year passed since April had married the prince, when spring came April turned seventeen, she had stopped being that little lanky girl she had always been and finally looked like a young 17 year old, she had had a slower growth since she had never had a proper diet, but two years ago she had begun to eat well and her body developed wonderfully.
April was sitting at the entrance of the small house, from there she could see the imposing towers of the castle, she was glad that they had sent her to that small house and not to one of those towers that rose towards the sky, she was deeply grateful because although they had forgotten about her, April did not feel that way, on the contrary, she felt that for the first time in her life she was living and not surviving as she had been doing all her life.
She looked up at the sky, it was clear and cloudless, it shone so beautifully that April wished she could see it every day.
The seasons passed, in the blink of an eye Two years passed, April was still living comfortably in that small house enjoying her day to day life, it was a beautiful spring day, April decided to go to the forest near her house to collect mushrooms, while she was walking through the forest she saw a man on the ground, immediately she hid behind a tree, she stared at the body that lay collapsed on the ground and if her eyesight did not fail her that man had blood on his clothes.
April looked around wondering if there were more people who could help that man, but there was no one besides her.
April approached very carefully.
That man was her husband, Alessandro.
She wondered why he was injured in such a remote part of the forest.
