Chapter 103 I Will Find the Evidence

Timothy grinned cheekily, "Don't be so mad, it'll just give you wrinkles, and you'll age faster."

As Kelvin moved to grab Penelope, Timothy quickly stepped in, "Cool off, big guy. You don't want to do something you'll regret."

He stalled, slowly moving towards the exit, and just as Kelvin was about to explode, he took off like a shot.

"Mr. Davis, I can't just let my child's life slip away," Fiona implored, crying and gripping his arm, "I wasn't even planning to make a fuss. All I wanted was for Penelope to apologize, yet she acts as if she'd rather die than say sorry... Do I look like someone to be easily bullied?"

"Yeah, it was such a sweet child. Life is precious. No matter what, Penelope owes us an explanation!" Director Wright chimed in, discreetly winking at Fiona.

Fiona caught on immediately. "Mr. Davis, you have to stand up for me. Our child, we longed for it... it's so precious... I keep feeling like it's still here with me in my belly, keeping me company..."

Before she could finish her words, Fiona's body went limp and she collapsed to the ground.

"Fiona!" Director Wright shouted, "Mr. Davis, Fiona has fainted!"

Kelvin caught her in his arms. "Call a doctor," he ordered, irritated and seething inside. He had intended to confront Penelope, but Fiona's sudden faint meant he couldn't leave.

Meanwhile, in the car.

Penelope sat in the back seat, gently caressing her abdomen.

Only now did she feel a wave of retrospective fear.

Her baby had been incredibly lucky.

After tumbling down the stairs and then delaying the surgery, her child was still miraculously intact inside her.

Her precious little one.
