Chapter 164 Fiona, I Know It’s You

Kelvin's brow was tightly furrowed as he repeatedly confirmed that Penelope was not among the passengers who had disembarked. He instantly floored the gas pedal, chasing after the bus. The roar of his Ferrari's engine echoed through the streets, the vehicle moving at lightning speed.

With a deft turn of the steering wheel, he executed a flawless drift to halt right in front of the bus, forcing the bus driver to slam on the brakes.

That car was way too expensive to collide with. It was worth millions of dollars and certainly not something the bus driver could afford to hit.

Kelvin stepped out of his car with long strides. "Wha... what are you doing?" the driver stammered as Kelvin vaulted in through the window.

Scanning the interior of the bus, Kelvin didn't see Penelope anywhere. He had surely seen her board this very bus. When had she disappeared?

"Surveillance," he demanded coldly, staring down at the bus driver. "Pull it up now!"

"I don't have access to that," the driver replied, "You have to go to our company to check the cameras..."

"Damn!" Kelvin cursed under his breath, leaping back through the window and sliding into his Ferrari.

Was Penelope now playing a game of escape with him? He was determined to see how she managed to slip away right under his nose.

Kelvin sped towards the bus company headquarters while dialing Penelope's phone. No answer. He sent her a voice message, "Penelope, pick up the phone! Text me back!" Still, there was no response. Minutes later when he tried again, her phone was turned off.

"Penelope!" Kelvin seethed with frustration. She truly had no regard for him at all! Not answering was one thing, but to turn off her phone and ignore him completely?

He rushed into the bus company offices, demanding the manager pull up the surveillance footage. His expression turned sour as he watched Penelope slip off the bus at an earlier stop. This was intentional!

Just then, his phone rang, and to his surprise, it was from Penelope.

Kelvin answered immediately, "Where the hell are you?!"
