Chapter 537

Sherman fiddled with his cross pendant and shot Hector a sidelong glance. "What are you getting so worked up about? It's not like you're going on a blind date."

Looking at Hector, all dressed up and trying to look suave, Sherman suddenly regretted setting him up to meet Anthea. He couldn't really explain why. Maybe it was just a knot in his chest that wouldn't go away.

Hector, meanwhile, was buzzing with excitement. "But she's my idol! I have to make a good impression, don't I? Sherman, be honest-how do I look?"

Sherman gave him a slow once-over, lips quirking in a smirk. “Honestly? Not great. You look like you just rolled out of bed. And did you even wash your hair last night? I can see dandruff from here."

Hector's face fell. "Dude, don't mess with me!"

"I never lie," Sherman replied, counting his rosary beads with an air of finality.

Hector looked like he was about to bolt back and wash his hair, but there was no time. He slumped, thoroughly dejected. If only he'd gotten up earlier and showered.

Just then, the low growl of a black Ferrari echoed down the street, drawing closer.

"She's here," Sherman said quietly.

"My idol's here?" Hector's eyes lit up.

Sherman nodded slightly.
