Allison frowned, picking up on the impatience in Emily's voice. Was she suggesting that not forgiving someone was unreasonable?

Just as Allison was about to speak, Joshua jumped in, “Grandma, what are you saying? Whether Allison forgives Lillian or not is up to her. No one should pressure her.”

Emily's eyes narrowed with displeasure. “Joshua, are you blaming me?”

“Not at all,” Joshua replied, cool as ever. “I'm just saying, don't put pressure on Allison."

Allison watched Joshua stand up for her against Emily and didn't hesitate any longer. She quickly said, "Alright, alright, I forgive her."
