Their apartment had two bedrooms and a living room, but the spare room lacked a bed. So tonight, he'd have to crash on the couch. The night was quiet, offering a deep, uninterrupted sleep.

As dawn broke, the first light of day streamed in. Allison, a creature of habit, always woke up early and naturally, right on time.
