As one of the partners—and bosses—at the law firm, he never really had to worry

about office hours. This time, he came alone, without little Julia in tow. In his

hands was a bouquet of pale blue flowers, each blossom perfectly chosen and

arranged. The whole thing looked gorgeous.

"Celebrating our Allison finally getting out of the hospital," Watson said, handing

her the flowers.

Allison took them with a grateful smile. "Thank you."

Javier watched her, concern softening his features. "You've lost quite a bit of

weight lately."

Linda jumped in, "Allie, I'm making dinner tonight. Why don't you come home and

let me spoil you a little?"

Allison nodded. "That sounds wonderful. Thank you, Aunt Linda."

Javier grinned, "Your aunt even got you a gift."

Linda shot him a playful glare. "Javier! You ruined the surprise!"

He just laughed. "She still doesn't know what it is, so it's still a surprise, right?"

Allison grinned at Linda. "It's okay, Aunt Linda. Dad's right—if I don't know what
