I went back to the guest room, still dazed.

Solomon tapped my forehead. "What's up? What did your mom say to you?"

"She said she believes I'm her daughter," I replied.

He blinked. "You sure you heard that right?"

"No mistake. I heard her clear as day."

"But who would buy a story like that?"

"She said she's been through it, so she believes me."

Only now did I see how cool Debra was, beyond just being my mother.

Solomon and I stayed at the Potter Mansion all night, but there was no sign of us waking up.
