Harvey glared coldly at Shepard.

Shepard chuckled.

"When he died, his position became mine.
"And, I found something greatly beneficial after being in position.
"Evermore has money and power, and the strength to obtain unimaginable things for me to further my research.
"I was Evermore’s shining star. I had the right to attend all sorts of grand events the organization held. As time passed, I managed to develop my research. I stupidly showed it to the Lord.
"After that, my status in Evermore quickly declined. I remained in the bottom of the twelfth branch since then.
“It was inevitable for people to get jealous of an ordinary medical student to be in this position.
