Harvey narrowed his eyes.
This wasn’t his first time going against Blaine. However, he never expected Blaine to harbor such high ambitions.
'Ruling for the rest of eternity? He's trying to be king! At this point, he’s no different than a warlord!’ he thought.
"The king's father?!” Damon said.
His expression twisted into something horrible.
“Are you saying that if I listen to you, and let you handle everything ...I'd just end up being a king’s father in the future?!"
Blaine crossed his arms, smiling.
"That’s right. After all, your ambition is too small. You can't hope to lead the family.
"But I’m different!

"I can raise the family to the peak! When that happens, you can have whatever you want! Isn’t that great?
“Let me give you a piece of advice.
"Don’t go against me, and don’t drag me down either. Just watch and learn."
"Blaine!" Kairi snarled, her expression ugly. "Some ambition you have! You want to be king? Do you think your family is capable of achieving that?! Wake up already!”
Blaine smiled.
"There might be some difficulties with just the John family...but I have Evermore’s help.
"When I join the Twelve Earthly Branches and become one of the Revered, I can do whatever I want.
"Besides, nobody outside here would know about what happened today. I have all the time in the world to set up a plan."
“How are you so sure? Are you planning to kill everyone here? To you, dead men tell no tales,” Kairi said.
The guests went pale instantly, then glared cautiously at Blaine.
Kairi was right. Blaine had already revealed his goal. What he did was a crime big enough to condemn an entire family!
Under such circumstances, his best move was to kill everyone who knew about the situation.
Many didn’t hesitate to call their bodyguards to protect them.
"That is indeed a good way to do things...”
Blaine smiled.
"But I always prefer giving a second chance.
