A few minutes later, Miley managed to recover slightly. She seemed more conscious than before.
She slowly opened her eyes, then froze in place as if she understood something.
After looking around the place, she finally saw Harvey and smirked coldly.
“Sir York. If you're interested in me, you should’ve just said so. You didn’t have to curse me in the first place."
Harvey was utterly speechless.
“How ungrateful can you get?” he said, rolling his eyes.
“If it weren’t for me, you would’ve been someone else’s Cask by now. But here you are, still here talking big.

“You should know I'm not interested in a loose woman like you at all. You think I’d curse you in the first place?"
“You..."
Miley heaved her chest, furious, before coughing out a lot more blood. A fishy scent wafted in the air, and she became a lot more relaxed.
She looked puzzled; then glanced at Harvey. She almost broke a tooth from grinding them in anger. There were other ways for her to release the blood, but Harvey used the most disgusting way possible.
Harvey couldn’t be bothered to look at how Miley was feeling.
“I heard the tattooed man say that Evermore did this to you. What's going on?"
Miley hesitated for a moment.
“I’ve been serving under Amos ever since he was born, but I’ve never seen him in person before.
"The Smalt Sect gave me a mission, saying that I'd be serving an important guest.
"As soon as Emil laid his eyes on me, he immediately asked me to be one of his partners.
"I heard he’d kill a few of his partners every single year. Rumors say that his partners were all sucked completely dry by him.
"I didn’t want that to happen to me, so I refused.
"But when I started to walk away, my body instantly heated up. I was still conscious, but my body walked all the way back here without my control.
