Yvonne laughed when she heard what Nashon had to say, but it was laced with disdain.
Nashon continued, "I also want to remind you of one thing.
After you have accepted and enjoyed everything the Xavier name has given you, you should understand that you have to pay a price. Fate has given you everything. Fate has also determined that price.
"I'm not asking you to marry Mr. Shingen. I'm simply informing you. You'll marry him whether you like it or not.
Even if you kill yourself right now. I'll deliver your corpse to the Island Nation all the same. Understand?'
Yvonne smiled coldly. "You're so shameless, Nashon. Since when have the Xaviers of Wolsing raised me? Since when have I used any of your resources? And here I was wondering what made all of you ungrateful people suddenly change and want to make peace with me.

"All of that is because you want me to marry some man? The thing I regret the most right now is my desire to rejoin the Xavier family. If I had known, I would've just kept my mother's last name. At the very least, the Shaws have never traded me like some kind of object!"
Nashon said calmly, "If yelling at me will make you marry over willingly, then yell as much as you want."
When Yvonne saw how shameless Nashon was, she couldn't be bothered with him anymore. She turned and looked at Shingen icily.
''Shingen, I'm going to make it clear in front of everyone. I don't care who you are, and I don't care what kind of relationship you have with the Xaviers of Wolsing. The bottom line is, I won't marry you. I won't even let you touch me. You can just forget about all of this!" she spat.
After saying that, she got up to leave. She swore she would never step into the Xavier residence anymore. She was going to abandon the last name as well.
"How childish! If words bear any weight, then there wouldn't be so many people being mistreated, and there won't be so many people behaving so tyrannically backed by their influence," Shingen said.
He smiled coldly and took a step forward, stopping Yvonne from leaving. He immediately slapped her using the back of his hand, and threw her to the ground.
Yvonne grunted, caught completely unaware, her face slamming onto the ground. Blood started to cover her forehead.
Shingen didn't even think of treating Yvonne like a person.
Instead, he stomped on her head, mashing her face against the ground.
