When Gaspar heard what Madden was saying, his lips formed a faint, icy smile no one could notice.
Gaspar would do everything he could to stop Harvey from gaining any recognition, especially when the tournament's main goal was to strip him of his title as representative.
If Harvey was the one who saved them from this predicament, the tournament would instead become a tool to help Harvey gain recognition. After that, his status in the Alliance would become extremely firm and no one could touch him again.
That was something Gaspar and the others could never accept.
As someone from the training grounds, they wouldn't allow what was theirs to become someone else's instead.

Not to mention, Harvey was so young. If he became the representative permanently, he would stay in that position for decades. And once all those decades had passed, would the training grounds still have a voice within the Alliance?
However, just as Gaspar was about to conclude this with one last speech to reject Harvey from interfering, someone opened the door into the meeting room. An old man with white hair and beard ran in, agitated.
"Elder Lee! Mr. Chairman! Everyone, we have a huge problem! A really huge one! Harvey had just sent a message to the Shinto Way, saying that he would fight the Shinto Way at the Apex of the Forbidden City seven days later!"
Everyone was stunned when they heard what the old man had said.
Gaspar even instinctively mumbled, 'What does he mean?'
Madden then said, "It means Harvey has already announced he will fight all 12 of the challengers at the Apex of the Forbidden City, the highest point in the Forbidden City... He wants the entire world to know about this! That bastard!"
Gaspar slammed the table; his cup immediately fell and shattered.
"Ridiculous! This is utterly ridiculous! Harvey... What does he think this is? Some roleplaying game? How dare he say something like that? Can he bear all the responsibilities? How is he supposed to answer the Alliance and all the training grounds? This is utterly ridiculous!"
Madden's face also became pale.
'What right does Harvey have to announce something like that?
Can he represent the entire Alliance?'
