Lily's blank gaze darted from the door to Xavier, who was lying on the bed.

It had been a few days since Lily last saw him, and she noticed a layer of light stubble had grown on his chin. It wasn't particularly obvious, and it made him look quite attractive. Exhaling deeply, Lily bent over and wiped his face with the towel. Relief washed over her as soon as she saw that he was fine.

She knew she should leave. But since he was so drunk and unlikely to sober up any sooner, she thought it wouldn't hurt to clean him up before leaving.
