"During the past two years I spent abroad, I was only able to eat our local dishes by cooking them myself. Now, I just can't get used to the taste of restaurant food. Let's just eat at your place, Lily," Terence said, glancing at Lily through the rearview mirror. There was no way Lily could refuse him now, so she agreed. However, she decided that once they were home, she wouldn't let Terence anywhere near the kitchen.

But things didn't go as planned-the moment they stepped into her house, Maryanne pulled her over to the couch. Terence took off his blazer, rolled up his sleeves, and headed straight for the kitchen.

"Terence, please, let me do it." Lily quickly pushed Maryanne away.

However, before she could stand, Maryanne pulled her back down. "You're upset now; you shouldn't be cooking," Maryanne insisted.

Lily pushed her away once again. "I'm not upset!"

"How could you not be? You're meeting Sarah tomorrow to apologize and beg her to return to your husband's side. What kind of wife does that?"
