Chapter 17 It was a plan

Tyson who also saw that hurriedly made his way to help her but before he could get there, Jason scooped her in his arms.

It was then that he noticed that she was shot at her arm.

"Hey, Elle, look at me, don't close your eyes.." He told her but Elle couldn't hold it in again. Her eyes went shut immediately.

Jason felt his heart leap in fear. A feeling he had not experienced in years. He was very much concerned about her.

As he approached the car, Tyson hurriedly ran to him.

"I'll take of it.." Tyson said and Jason looked at him.

"What are you doing, Tyson?" James' voice was heard from behind.

"She took a bullet for me and now you are stopping him from taking her to the hospital!" James yelled at him.

Jason opened the door and dropped her in. He immediately went to the other side, entered the car and then drove off.

"She will be fine governor, we've succeeded in removing the bullet in her arm. She will be fine.." The doctor says and James nodded.

"Thanks a lot.." He said.

He opened the door and walked into the room. Meanwhile Jason stood outside, and watched her sleep peacefully.

"Thankfully, she's not hurt.."

"But why did she take the bullet for my dad?" He wondered and then he walked away.

James stood staring at her and for that moment, he was extremely grateful to her for what she did. She saved his life.

Elle's eyes fluttered open and she looked around almost immediately.

"Where am I?" She tried sitting up but then she felt a sharp pain in her arm and she groaned but still sat up.

"Be careful, your wounds haven't healed yet.."

"What happened?" She asked innocently and James sighed.

"Thank you for saving my life. I really do appreciate it!" James said and Elle nodded. She laid back on the bed.

'I'm just happy that you didn't get hurt, governor.." Elle replied.

"Your phone has been ringing for a while. It's your mum…"

"I'll leave you to it.." James said. Tyson walked in with a bouquet of flowers.
