"By the way, how's your little sister?" He asked and Elle froze again.

"W.. what?' Elle asked and Jason paused.

"Wny are you acting surprised? Your little sister picked my call the other day, right?" He asked and Elle faked a smile.

"Yeah, she did, why are you asking about her?" Elle asked.

"I just seem to like her. She's fun to take with and for a minute, my heart felt relieved.." Jason said and smiled.

It was the first time in years, she had seen him smile so genuinely.

"That's how she is. She takes after her dad in making people smile??" Elle blurted out, staring at him and he faced her.

"Her dad?"

"I thought you said she was adopted. Did you know her dad before?" He asked and Elle looked away.

"I just.. I just said maybe she took after her dad. She might even take after mum, who knows.." Elle shrugged.

Jason stopped and then turned to her before pulling her by her shoulders, bringing their faces so close.

Both froze by his sudden action. Elle gulped hard.

"W.. what are you doing.." She mumbled and suddenly he laughed. He laughed again and then let go of her, still laughing.

Elle furrowed her brows, wondering what's wrong with him.

"Why are you laughing?" She asked and he stopped.

"If you had seen how you looked, you looked so frightened.." He said and chuckled again and Elle smiled.

"You have a very beautiful smile.." She complimented him and immediately Jason's cheeks grew hot. He looked away immediately.
