Chapter 55 A surprise

Langford looked at her and then smirked. Then he fell on the ground causing a thud.

Elle's eyes widened. She took her gun and also ran to the fence. She climbed on it with ease and also came down. She saw him a little distance from her.

"That bastard!" She groaned and continued to run after him. Meanwhile Langford was having difficulties in running because of his two injured legs but he smirked when he remembered what he did.

He had successfully taken one of the goons phone and called the cops with it.

Elle took her gun and cocked it.

"I swear I'll kill you, Langford.." She said with reddened eyes. She pulled the trigger but nothing happened. Her eyes widened and then it dawned on her that she took the wrong gun. This was not loaded with bullets.

"Gosh!" She groaned and continued running after him.

"Langford! You better stop running cause when I catch you. I'm going to make your life miserable. Stop running!" She yelled again and but he didn't.

He fell hard on the ground but he forced himself to stand and he continued running.

"Dang!" Elle groaned. She took her phone and dailed Damien's number as she ran but he was not available.

Slowly she was catching up with him. She looked up and saw a car rushing towards them in full speed. Her eyes widened and Langford stopped running, his heart hammering against his chest. But all of a sudden, the car stopped in front of him and Damien got out of it.

He brought out his gun and pointed it at him.

"Just take a step and you are dead.." He said coldly and Elle heaved a sigh of relief.

Langford suddenly smirked.

"Don't feel too good cause I've already called the police and I'm sure they are on their way soon.." He said and both Elle and Damien's eyes widened.

"You bastard!" Damien yelled and immediately hit the gun on his head. He fell down unconscious immediately.

"Dam, we need to get out of here.." He said and she nodded.
