Chapter 422 Changing Girlfriends Every Day

The expression on Lysander’s face subtly shifted.

She had always been aware of Susan’s attitude. During her last visit for dinner at their home, it was Susan who had called Josiah back. Later, Susan had insisted that he should escort her home.

Under the table, Daphne had taken hold of her hand, applying gentle pressure.

Lysander turned around, only to hear Daphne’s firm voice telling her, “Just focus on your meal; don’t worry about anything else.”

Lysander shot her a glance that implied she knew what to do.

“Mr. Guerra, you’ve returned!” Eleanor greeted him. “And who might this be?”

Josiah had returned, but he was accompanied by a woman.

It was yet another unfamiliar face.

She wasn’t a social butterfly from Skywatch, nor was she a female college student from the billiards hall. Rather, she was a refined urban beauty, appearing to be in her mid–twenties, with a rather impressive demeanor.

Daphne mumbled to herself, “Van Cleef & Arpels.”

Lysander didn’t understand. “What?”

“The earrings and necklace this woman is wearing are classic four–leaf clover designs by Van Cleef & Arpels.”

“Are they expensive?”

“Definitely not something the salaried class could afford.”

Lysander nodded, indicating she understood.

Susan wasn’t surprised by the arrival of the new girl. Clearly, she had been mentally prepared. She smiled. politely and said, “Tiffany, you came? It’s been a while, and you’ve become even more beautiful.”

“I’ve been abroad for quite some time and only recently returned home. I made it a point to visit you immediately. Here’s a small token of appreciation I brought for you. I hope you like it, Madam Susan.”

Susan gratefully accepted it with a loving smile. “You’re so thoughtful. Thank you.”

“Actually, I can’t take all the credit for this gift. Josiah accompanied me the whole of today to get it.”
