Next morning.
Thaddeus was all set and ready to go, suited and booted. He radiated a powerful aura and an air of authority, as he made his way to the K Orld Hotel in top form. As he entered the lobby, he felt a sense of exhilaration. He had been here last year and despite his generally critical nature, he had let slip some negative comments.
–“What a hot mess, nothing impressive about this place.”
However, things had drastically changed now, meeting the high standards of a top-tier hotel. It appeared that Ms. Evadne’s management skills were top-notch, making her a formidable opponent.
“This is Mr. Thaddeus from the Abernathy group. He wants to meet with Ms. Evadne. Could you please pa** on the message?”
It took Gordon several attempts to convey his message to Evadne’s executive secretary.
“I’m sorry, but without an appointment, Ms. Evadne doesn’t meet with anyone.” The secretary replied politely.
“Does Mr. Thaddeus from the Abernathy group also need to make an appointment?” Gordon asked, his brow furrowed.
“Why wouldn’t he?”
Gordon was so angry that his face turned red. He wanted to file a complaint right then and there!
“Can I make an appointment for today? When is Ms. Evadne available?” Thaddeus stepped forward and asked coldly.
“Ms. Evadne has been very busy recently. I am not sure of her schedule. Perhaps, you could try again tomorrow?”
Gordon lost his patience again, feeling his temper reaching its limit.
“Alright, Gordon, let’s make an appointment.” Thaddeus pulled Gordon back, his gaze deep. After all, throwing a tantrum wouldn’t solve anything, and it was not a good look.
They left without achieving anything. Once back in the car, Gordon was so mad that his back teeth hurt. He banged on the car window. “This is outrageous! We’re in Elmsworth, not their Ashbourne group’s turf, Skyrim! If Evadne continues to be this arrogant, she’ll find it hard to keep her feet in Elmsworth!”
“We’ll try again tomorrow.” Thaddeus closed his eyes, his brow furrowed. The line of his jaw and neck was enticing.
“Didn’t you hear what that guy said? I don’t think we’ll be able to see her tomorrow either!”

“If not tomorrow, then the day after. I must see Evadne.” Thaddeus loosened his tie, his heart pounding. “The Stirling group can’t wait any longer. If things continue this way, they might go bankrupt.”
The next day, Thaddeus arrived at the hotel early, only to be turned away just as Gordon had predicted.
The same thing happened on the third day.
As a business tycoon who had accompanied the Prime Minister on foreign visits and received the highest level of foreign hospitality, his name alone would strike fear into the hearts of many in his country. But Evadne didn’t care about him at all, she didn’t even give him the slightest bit of respect!
This was infuriating!
That day, the rain was pouring down, but Evadne arrived at work in high spirits.
She was wearing pointed high heels, her steps firm and strong. She was dressed in a meticulously tailored double breasted black suit dress, with a pair of golden rose pendants dangling from her ears, adding a touch of brightness to the whole outfit.
“Oh my gosh! Our lady boss is so gorgeous! I’m totally smitten!”
“Ever since Ms. Evadne joined us, the female staff look forward to her fashionable outfits every day, and the male staff look forward to seeing her angelic face, which purifies their souls and doubles their motivation to work.”
“Calling her the most beautiful heiress, I don’t think anyone would disagree, right?”
Since Keith’s departure, every staff member of the hotel had become more disciplined under her management, with each department pulling their weight and striving for perfection. From lifeless to vibrant, Evadne had achieved this transformation in less than half a month.
To ensure smooth external operations, internal issues had to be dealt with first, only then could they have the strength to strive for a bigger world.
“The Abernathy group has secretly injected a considerable amount of funds into the Stirling group. The latter had lost a lot due to bad press resulting in almost all of their orders being cancelled. This money has given them a lifeline.” Cas sius reported the latest updates to Evadne over the phone.
“I figured as much. Thaddeus would definitely help his wife’s family. His feelings for them run deep.”
Evadne gave a cold laugh, took off her high heels and ma**aged her aching ankle. “However, money can’t solve a bad reputation. Thaddeus Injecting funds into the Stirling group now is like burning money for the dead, it won’t change anything.”
“Thaddeus is a business genius just like you, he understands what you’re saying. But right now, using money to stabilize the situation is the only option he has.” Cas sius chuckled, “Sometimes I wonder, if you two were to become a couple, you could rule the world. You’d be able to change it as you wish.”
“We aren’t destined to become a couple, but we can compete against each other.” Evadne took a piece of chocolate from her drawer and popped it in her mouth, a cold glint in her eyes.
Soon after the call ended, Jason rushed in, looking somewhat annoyed. “Ms. Evadne! Thaddeus is here again! This man truly has no shame, he’d be wasted if he didn’t go into sales!”
“For the person he loves, he’s willing to humble himself. It’s an admirable spirit.”
Evadne didn’t lift her eyes, she was busy signing documents.
But Jason heard a trace of bitterness in her indifferent words. He wondered if it was just his imagination.
“Ms. Evadne, I can go and deal with him this time, I’ll make sure he leaves for good!”
“No, let him in.” Evadne put the cap back on her pen, her eyes flicking upwards.
“What?!” Jason was taken aback.
“The guy’s been begging for a meeting three times. How could I not give the big shot president of the Abernathy group some face?”
Evadne leaned in, stretching her cute little foot forward. Jason hurried over, dropping to one knee to slip her high-heeled shoe on. “Run over to the restaurant or café now, find me a pretty and articulate waitress. I’ve got a job for her.”
About ten minutes later, Jason returned with a waitress who fit the bill.
“Hello, Ms. Evadne!” The waitress bowed deeply to Evadne, obviously nervous.
“No need to be on edge, I’m just giving you a little task for the moment. Once you’ve done it, I’ll give you a reward,” Evadne barely smiled.
“I’m already happy enough to work for you, Ms. Evadne. No need for extra rewards,” the waitress blushed, “I’m a huge fan! You’re my idol!”
Turns out she’s a superfan!
Evadne smiled as she looked her over, nodding, “Not bad, about the same size as me. Jason, go get her one of my outfits, and shoes too.”
