Chapter 1093

At those words, the woman erupted in fury. Her bloodshot eyes burned with madness as she lunged at them, ready to attack.

Evadne's heart seized, every muscle tense and poised to act.

But Mr. Murray was quicker. He strode forward, gripping the woman's wrists in an iron hold, pinning her arms behind her back so she couldn't move-let alone hurt Hamilton.

"Savages! Devils! The whole Abernathy family are monsters-ravenous, heartless monsters!" she shrieked, her face twisted with hate. She thrashed in Mr. Murray's grasp, voice breaking with rage. "This isn't over! I swear your grandson will pay in blood! Unless you kill me right here, I'll make sure he suffers!"

The commotion drew the attention of the estate's security. Two guards rushed over, dragging and wrestling with the woman until they managed to force her out of the grounds.

"Mr. Frederic, this is serious. We can't just let her go unchecked," Mr. Murray said, his usual gentleness gone, eyes suddenly sharp and cold. "If she goes public with this, the media will be all over it. The Abernathy Group's reputation could be ruined overnight! Do you want me to handle it?"

"Handle it?!" Hamilton gasped, clutching his chest as pain knifed through him. His face went white as chalk, his voice cracked with anguish. "Her family... They've already suffered so much because of me! What more do you want? Do you want me to drive her to her death?!"

He hadn't even finished when his brow furrowed, and his frail body gave out, slumping to the ground in a trembling heap.

"Mr. Frederic!" Mr. Murray cried, catching the old man's gaunt frame before he could hit the floor.
