Chapter 7

At three in the morning, the room fell silent.

The sound of water in the bathroom rang out.

Maeve pulled back the curtain and walked out with her legs, which had lost consciousness.

She stepped over the scattered broken clothes, placed the memory card on the table, and opened the

door.

After a soft sound, a deep voice came from the bathroom.

“What sound? Is someone there?”

“How is it possible for someone to be here so late at night? Never mind, let’s try again.”

I slightly pushed open the bathroom door, then tightly closed it again.

Maeve turned around and looked at her reflection in the glass, then she turned back and closed the

door.

The streets in the early morning were empty, with no one and no cars.

She wandered aimlessly alone, with a buzzing sound in her ears, but her mind was completely

blank.
