“You and Mummy are not married?” Solara frowned. Oh boy.

But why?” she started to look sad,” And how are we here if you are not married. My best friend, Cia, said mommy and daddy need to be married to have a baby,” she said, looking between us.
Are we adopted?” Cayden looked mortified.

‘Look, I wanted to marry your mommy so badly, but I did something/ really bad, and she was angry at me and went away. I deserved it,” he said, taking all the blame. I didn’t avert my gaze when he looked at me
