After Prince Deacon said he wanted to tell me something, immediately gulped down the entire bottle of water and stood up to follow him back to his barracks.
A jolt of excitement surged through me, making my stomach flutter as Prince Deacon's intoxicating scent filled the air. He slowed his pace to match mine after noticing I was walking behind him to show respect for his rank.
