Said he wanted some pastry! It’s the first time in years I’ve heard him ask for food himself! I’m so moved! He mentioned you made him pastry this morning, along with some side dishes, and he said he wanted more of the same. I’ve already got people gathering the ingredients as per Elijah’s request. When will you be back to cook for him? What time can you make it home?”

Tarquin’s lips twitched uncontrollably. His son suddenly showing interest in food should be a cause for celebration, pure joy!
