I frowned and shook his hand off my wrist. “I’ve got a meeting in thirty minutes. I don’t have time for this. Wasn’t it you who came all the way here just to play with her?”

Jared could only give me a resigned look.

Yvonne rushed over with her bucket full of sand. “Mom, I’ll build you a sandcastle!”
