His hand on my belly suddenly froze, and it felt like all the warmth had drained away.

I knew just how much of a bombshell this was for Ryan.

He was probably hoping to keep it under wraps a little longer, waiting for a better time to bring it up- definitely not in a moment as tender as this.

But I couldn’t wait anymore. Miss Chamberlain’s words were like a thorn stuck in my heart.
