Kingsley scratched his head and blurted a half-lie, “I… I’m friends with Captain Leonard. I heard that he came here today for a mission, so I tagged along to watch the fun.”
Serena frowned slightly and questioned, “But I heard from Paige that you came to Sunshine Casino last night and said something in the lines of wanting to help me settle Xanxus!”
“I…” Kingsley groaned and changed the subject.
“Actually, your mission this time is a trap set up by Tyler Jovovich from Spearhead Group. After I heard about it from him, I rushed over to save you. I didn’t expect to meet my old friend, Captain Leonard, here! He’s on a mission in Diosna City, so I just thought of using this excuse to win your favor by settling Xanxus!”
