Harper's silence lingered as Benjamin continued his work, the rhythmic tapping of keys punctuating the quiet of the night. Around eleven o'clock, exhaustion claimed Harper, and she drifted off to sleep while the TV murmured softly in the background.

Once his work was completed, Benjamin briefly washed up in the bathroom before approaching the bed. His gaze softened as he looked upon the sleeping woman he held dear. With a brief hesitation, he pulled back the covers and carefully lifted her into his arms, settling beside her.
