Since Cornelia got knocked up, Jeremy had been hitting the books hard to learn all about pregnancy. He knew that if her water broke with less amniotic fluid, or if she was not having regular contractions, it could mean the baby was in distress. This would call for a C–section to nip the pregnancy in the bud and avoid endangering the baby’s health and life.

After the water broke, complications like premature rupture of membranes or prolapsed umbilical cord might occur. These were risky situations that would also require a C–section.

On top of that, Cornelia had been eating like a horse during her pregnancy, causing the baby’s development to go off the charts. With Cornelia being a petite woman and not exactly built for childbirth, a C–section was also necessary.

Thinking about Cornelia’s safety, Jeremy made the call on the spot for the hospital to prep for surgery and get the C–section underway ASAP. The doc said they were good to go.
