I sat in the treatment room. The door was suddenly flung open and a tall man entered menacingly as if he were about to kill, startling the doctor.

I glanced at the doctor.“It’s okay, he’s my… boss.” The word “husband” almost blurts out.

Julian seemed to have something stuck in his throat and walked to the doctor, asking, “Is it serious?”

“Don’t worry. It’s not a big deal.” The doctor, unconcerned about our relationship, took care of my wound and prescribed external medication.
