This was the image that the 20 Paragons that had ingested the Origin Essence of the Goliath of the Primordial Cosmos saw as all their eyes focused on it.

The 7 that were battling the Sins momentarily lost their focus as some suffered injuries, the three that were around the Demonic Lich Emperor feeling his aura the closest as the 10 that had stayed behind to summon Legions of undead also felt it very clearly!

They felt an aura...that was no less than theirs.

This naturally caused some heavy feelings to rise deep in the hearts of these Undead Paragons, the reality that a being had naturally reached the same stage of power that they reached through their own sheer strength alone- not having to do what they did and become Incarnations of another existence.

They weren't fools. These Paragons had lived for too many years, and even with the influence of the Dao of Necromancy that the Hegemony of Necromancy used when he gave them the Origin Essence for them to absorb, it was still their choice to do in the end.

First, they believed in themselves and their power, thinking that their origin would be able to handle the essence of a Hegemony if it was just a small portion of it.

Second was the fact that they knew sooner or later...the Tyrannical Lich Emperor that had its forces conquer over half of the Necrotic Universe would make its way towards them as well. When that time came, they would have to choose to either face eternal death or pledge their fealty to another being!

Instead of this...they chose another path as they ingested the origin essence for even greater strength, only for them to find out they truly were not able to handle this power within their Origins, and that in a matter of time, eternal death would come for them.

This was the price they had to pay to achieve a level of power no other Paragons could even dream of!
