The following morning, Nathael had just finished helping Maggie change the dressing on her back when Mia arrived with breakfast.

Maggie scowled, avoiding Nathael’s gaze and trying to blend into the background.

Mia sat on the bed edge, touching Maggie’s forehead. “Looks like the fever isn’t too bad.”

Maggie sighed. “I know you’re concerned about me, but it somehow feels like you’re here to make fun of

“Alright, alright. I’ll stop. I now know Nathael’s so powerful in bed that he put you here,” Mia conceded.
