My ear rang in shock and I put the phone away from my ear for few seconds to enable it return to its normal state.

What was wrong with him? Why had he thundered in my ear that way? I had one mind to end this call.

I caught the look on Paula's and Kat's faces, they had heard his loud voice and were looking confused.

"Hello, Alex" I greeted, mustering calmness.
