Chapter 854: Getting Drunk is Not Scary

Jared buried his face in his hands, unable to look directly at Tina.

The problem? She was completely tone-deaf.

Her singing wasn't just bad-it was catastrophic. It sounded like some unholy cross between a wailing banshee and a malfunctioning car alarm. Who could have guessed that someone as brilliant as Tina could sing like she was summoning demons? The entire room had nearly ascended to the afterlife.

And the dancing?

Words failed him.

Where on earth had she learned moves like that?

"Heave-ho, heave-ho, pull the turnip! I'll shoot your head off with one shot..."

"I love taking baths, turtles falling down, oh-oh-oh..."

Tina's impromptu concert raged on until four in the morning.

Thankfully, the Brookes family estate was isolated-no neighbors to call in noise complaints. Otherwise, the police would've shown up hours ago. Finally, Tina ended her "performance" with a dramatic, off-key rendition of "I'm a girl, a cute girl..." before collapsing face-first onto the floor.

Jared let out a long, exhausted sigh. If she hadn't passed out, the rest of them surely would have. Surviving her banshee wails while she had a painted face and a broken arm was nothing short of heroic endurance.

The moment Tina hit the floor, Ian clapped his hands and barked orders. "Quick! Get her to her room, lock the door, and get someone to keep her in the room. Don't let her out under any circumstances!" As if to emphasize his relief, he patted his chest with his uninjured hand. "She scared me half to death."

The servants, clearly traumatized but trained to obey, sprang into action. They hoisted Tina like she was a sack of potatoes and carried her upstairs.

It wasn't just the Brookes family who had suffered tonight. Even the servants looked like they'd been through a war. A silent prayer passed through the house: please, let this never happen again.

Once Tina was locked safely away, the family, utterly drained, scattered to their rooms without even bothering to wash up.

Jared, who usually shared a room with Tina, wasn't about to take any chances. After what he'd just witnessed, there was no way he was sleeping in the same space as her. Who knew what fresh chaos she might unleash? He retreated to a guest room instead.
