Jared's face darkened with anger as he said coldly, "You can't keep avoiding seeing Mom. I have something to discuss with her too. Let's go in together."

Asher hesitated for a moment, then nodded after some thought. "I'll go with you. Even though she probably still doesn't want to talk to me, it's good if I can at least see her."
