Tina remained silent, her eyes fixed on Mia's face.

After a long pause, just as Mia was starting to falter, Tina finally spoke, her voice calm and measured. "Grand Aunt Mia, please leave. My parents are here, and we don't need outsiders meddling."

Mia froze, about to retort, but Tina's sharp gaze narrowed, her entire demeanor exuding a cold, cutting aura. "Grand Aunt Mia," Tina warned, her tone steely, "it would be best not to provoke me right now. My abilities are no weaker than my mother's."

Mia's body trembled, memories of her last beating still fresh. She glared at Tina with hatred, muttered a string of curses under her breath, and stormed off.

Jared entered just in time to see Tina watching Mia's retreating figure, her narrowed eyes reflecting a swirl of emotions.

"Was it her?" Jared asked.

Tina pressed her lips together. "No. There's been no change in her bone structure."

"So, it's two people then?" Jared probed.

Tina's voice dropped. "Impossible. I wouldn't have missed two figures appearing in such a short time. Unless..." Her tone grew colder. "Unless she also possesses abilities, and her skills rival ours."

Jared frowned. "Luke Langdon once said Claudia was incredibly powerful-strong enough to be invulnerable to weapons. It's possible her abilities go beyond what we know."

"Whatever abilities she may have," Tina declared, her fists clenching tightly, "this time, she won't escape."

Seeing the intensity in her clenched fists, Jared's gaze deepened.

Back in the hospital room, Ruud had already summoned his men to take care of River's body on the floor and "Poppy" on the bed.

Jared spoke politely, "Dad, we'll report this matter to the higher-ups. There's no need for you to handle it personally."

Ruud frowned. "We're family. How is this trouble? You go handle your investigation. This is nothing worth worrying about."

Tina nodded. "Thank you, Dad."

She did have more pressing matters to deal with.
