Chapter 1031: Fulfilling Grandpa's Dream

Before Hayden could finish his sentence, Tina shot him a glare as if he were an idiot, and he promptly shut his mouth.

He coughed awkwardly and said, "Serena, you misunderstood. I was just wondering if Logan, who's always been healthy, suddenly feeling unwell might be due to some hidden issue?"

This time, Tina didn't argue with him.

The tone of Uncle's call hadn't sounded particularly tense, so it probably wasn't anything serious.

At Farrell Manor, Tina stepped out of the car and told Hayden to head back while she entered the inner courtyard alone.

In the grand hall, Asher and Marie were dressed in formal attire, as though they'd just rushed back from an event.

Seeing Tina, Marie quickly came over and held her hand. "Tina, you're here."

Tina nodded and greeted them, "Dad, Mom, how's Grandpa doing?"

Marie was still a little dazed. The two of them had just wrapped up a banquet out of town when they received a call saying Logan had gotten into a dispute and nearly passed out on the spot.

So, they had rushed back immediately.

Asher walked over and said, "Jared convinced him to take some medicine earlier. He should be fine now."

Hearing this, Tina responded, "I'll go check on him."

Inside Logan's room, Jared was sitting by the bed, listening as Logan let out sighs and groans, but not saying a single truthful word.

They say old people are like children, but Jared didn't expect to see this side of his grandfather.

Clearly, Logan had something on his mind, yet he refused to speak about it.

Jared glanced at the time. It had been an hour since he came over from the office, and there was still no sign of Tina.

Just as he was thinking this, he heard her voice behind him.

"Uncle."

Jared turned and smiled, getting up to greet her. "Tina."

The moment Logan heard Tina's voice, his groaning paused, and his ears perked up.

For a while, the two people in the room chatted back and forth, completely forgetting about the "patient" lying on the bed. Logan cleared his throat, but they didn't react. Finally, he raised his voice and called out dramatically.
