Chapter 844

Gregory glanced at Dailey, taking in his expression.

Even though Dailey usually maintained a stoic face, even when he managed a smile, it was more subdued than most. Gregory had learned to interpret Dailey's emotions through observation and a little guesswork.

"We're about to tie the knot, shouldn't you be raising a glass in celebration with me?" Gregory asked, noting the cloud of gloom hanging over Dailey.

"What's with this aura of doom around you?"

Dailey stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray. He stood up, grabbed the bottle of whiskey, poured himself a generous glass, and downed it in one go.

Gregory pulled up a chair and sat across from him. Casually swirling his wine glass, he said, "You might want to slow down. If you puke, I'm not going to hold your hair back."

"Won't need you to," Dailey replied coldly, taking a swig straight from the bottle.

Gregory raised an eyebrow and remarked, "When you're passed out later, I'll find a waitress to shower and dress you, then send the pictures to Christine."
