"Who the hell are you guys?" Sandy's eyes snapped open, and all she could see were blinding camera flashes going off in her face.

A bunch of strangers were crowded around her bed, shoving cameras at her!

Her head pounded like a freight train, and before she could even process what was happening, someone forcefully rolled her over.

A surge of panic shot through her fuzzy brain. It hit her-she was at Shane's place.

Last night...

But now there were reporters in the room!

"Don't touch me! Get out, all of you!"

Sandy's cheeks, still flushed from sleep, turned ghostly pale. She shoved away the man trying to grab her face and quickly bundled herself up in the sheets, desperately nudging Shane awake. "Shane, wake up! Shane, seriously, get up! There are reporters in your house!"

"Crap, they're awake," muttered the scruffy guy poking at Sandy. He jerked his chin at his buddy. "Get a few more shots of the girl's face, quick!"

"But George-something's off. This girl doesn't look right!" another guy blurted, staring at Sandy's exposed face. He slapped George on the arm, his expression changing fast. "She's not Emma's granddaughter! The old lady gave us a photo. She looks nothing like her!"
