Whitney was absolutely speechless, cheeks flushing with embarrassment for a moment. "Who needs your help against him, anyway? Ludwik, I can mess with all I want but you? No way. Don't even think about getting your hands on a single cent from the Lippert Group."

Now it was Shane's turn to rub his forehead. They weren't even back together yet, and she was already guarding the guy's assets like a hawk.

He let out a cold snort. "Sandy's working tomorrow, so let her take the afternoon off. Trust me, Tina's gonna be so upset she'll probably get a fever. She has to see her daughter."

Whitney just tsked under her breath.

"Hey, Whit, who are you texting with that look on your face?" Sandy turned from the passenger seat, still weighed down by worry. She caught Whitney furiously tapping her phone, her expression a little wild.

Whitney quickly angled the screen away. "Oh, no one. Just texting Felix about something with Sienna..."

Suddenly, the whole car went silent.

Felix, driving up front, nearly stomped on the brakes.

Whitney frowned, glancing up as Sandy shot her a strange look, then pointed ahead. "Uh, but Felix is right there. Driving the car?"
